Biography Phil Holoubek is founder, President and CEO of Lexington’s Real Estate Company (“LRC”).

LRC is actively involved in the transformation of downtown Lexington. Since inception, LRC has developed over $60 million worth of residential and commercial mixed use real estate, with additional projects valued at another $40 million currently under development in the downtown Lexington area.

LRC’s existing projects have added hundreds of residential loft units to downtown Lexington, adding life and vibrancy to this reviving urban core.

Additionally, LRC's mixed use projects have added more than 50,000 square feet of convenience oriented retail, and over 200 retail infill parking spaces, all on sites that were previously underutilized surface parking lots.

As a result of these visionary projects, and for the first time in years, national retailers have located in downtown Lexington, improving quality of life for downtown residents and workers alike, and helping Lexington recruit knowledge based young professionals to town.

Upcoming development projects include more than $40 million of investment for the eastern end of Lexington’s downtown.

In Louisville, LRC has assisted with development of a kitchen incubator, Chef Space, in Louisville’s Russell Neighborhood, This project was developed for one of LRC’s top clients, Community Ventures Corporation, and is a 15,000 sq ft project that turned an abandoned restaurant into a shared commercial kitchen space that incubates young, food based entrepreneurs and start ups.

Phil earned his MBA from the University of Oregon, and kept the words of his mentor close to his heart …… “You can do good AND do well. The two are not mutually exclusive.” This is evident in many of Phil’s projects in both Lexington and Louisville, and in his Wild Duck investment firm.

Phil serves as co-founder and co-owner of Wild Duck Investments. This “micro angel” venture capital fund invests small amounts in local entrepreneurs and start-ups. Not only does Wild Duck invest in these young companies, but Phil and his partner spend countless hours mentoring the young business owners. To date, Wild Duck has invested in start ups ranging from real estate to wine distribution.

Phil is involved with numerous community organizations and boards as well.
